Muscle Milk deploys street teams on a regular basis to distribute product samples to their target market. They planned to set up near the Ferry Building on San Francisco’s Embarcadero on Bike to Work Day in 2012. Since most of the people coming from the Ferry Building were walking to the Financial District, Muscle Milk decided to utilize pedicabs as a way to further increase exposure and gain a stronger customer response.
Cabrio Taxi’s pedicabs were equipped with custom-made bags from Rickshaw Bagworks that enabled the pedicab drivers to offer Muscle Milk samples and free pedicab rides. Commuters were delighted to have an opportunity to try Muscle Milk, while participating in Bike to Work Day, even without their own bike.
Glyde.com was conducting a month long out-of-home (OOH) advertising campaign throughout San Francisco to increase awareness of their on-line market place for used electronics and media. The Embarcadero is frequented by San Francisco residents as well as visitors from around the country. It was a perfect area to include in their campaign. Pedicabs are one of the few outdoor media options along this highly traveled corridor, but it's also one of the most effective.
